WebDec 29, 2024 · This wowhead guide does not say hunters can do it. In general, if the character can equip the weapon then that will unlock the transmog for it. At least that’s been my experience with my characters. Thunderfury apparently is no exception - a hunter commented on wowhead about a month ago that they were able to get it.
