We present a rare case of cryptococcal fungemia in the setting of dexamethasone use for hypoxemic respiratory failure in a patient with SARS-CoV-2 infection. Case Presentation The patient is a 59-year-old male who had recently immigrated to the United States from Costa Rica with a WebCryptococcus gattii ( C. gattii) is a fungus that can cause a disease called cryptococcosis.
